The small lakes found in Glendale proper, such as those in Arrowhead Ranch and Arrowhead Lakes, are private and available for boating only by the property owners there. Most only allow paddle boats or electric powered boats. The nearest large lake, approximately 35 miles from Glendale, is Lake Pleasant, with over 10,000 acres of water.
