GCC is a public two-year community college, enrolling approximately 32,000 students annually. It is the second-largest institution of the Maricopa Community Colleges, the largest community college system in the United States. Glendale Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. GCC is approved by the State Board of Directors for Community Colleges of Arizona.

ASU's West serves approximately 8,000 students on its growing campus in Glendale. Undergraduate and graduate-level courses lead to a wide range of degree programs and professional certificates offered through the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, the College of Teacher Education and Leadership, the College of Human Services, and the School of Global Management and Leadership.
